Exploring the Repair Network in Ōtepoti

Abstract
This project is a case study of repair networks in Ōtepōti, where there is not a formal repair cafe but instead a network of different repair outlets. This project will answer the questions 'What is the current state and structure of the repair network in Dunedin?' and 'What are the challenges and barriers faced by repair service providers, and how can these be addressed to strengthen the repair network?’ Data will be collected through a literature review and interviews. The final product will discuss the existing repair services in Ōtepōti, alongside an analysis of challenges and opportunities faced by the network. This research attempts to fill the gap of formalised understanding on the function and viability of the Ōtepoti repair network and would set the foundations for the network's place in a circular economy to be further recognised and supported.
