Proceedings of Pūhau ana te Rā Seminar 2023
Vol. 1 No. 1 (2023)This first issue is dedicated to the work of summer scholarship students at Toitū te Taiao (the Sustainability Office) of University of Otago during the summer of 2022-23. The work captured in these abstracts is the result of ten weeks of work on a specific issue. Students developing new knowledge and understanding around these issues is a significant contribution to creating the tailwind conditions that will accelerate us to a thriving future.
This work is the compilation of collective work with many contributors and supervisors. The acceptance of abstracts and presentations was not subject to blind peer review, but rather open sharing and feedback within the cohort. The presentations were a developmental opportunity for emerging researchers and student to gain feedback and support. We expect to see many of the papers presented at a later stage as full journal submissions.

It is notable that this year we had even stronger collaboration with Centre for Sustainability, Ag Research Otago, and the Food Waste Innovation research groups, as well as all of the students based in Toitū te Taiao (the Sustainability Office).
